For the first time, in a production for ESA, we are sharing a video under a Creative Commons licence. In particular we are releasing it under the so-called “NoDerivatives” version of the licence, ported for use by intergovernmental organisations (IGOs) including ESA, referred to in short as CC BY-ND 3.0 IGO.
Have you ever wanted to find out how ESA’s missions are made space-worthy? In a new series of videos we produced for ESA, follow the “real CSI” for space as we take a close-up look at ESA’s Materials & Electrical Components Laboratory. See how these “space detectives” solve real scientific problems with materials to ensure issues do not occur on future space missions.
As part of our service offering, we produce a full range of content across all forms of media, catering for the space industry. Over recent months we have supported a number of livestreams for ESA that allow the public to watch space events in real-time.
As the European Space Agency (ESA) sets its sights for the Moon, it has just released a new area of its website dedicated to our closest neighbour. Developed by Design & Data together with ESA, it presents an interactive web guide to “the why and how of lunar exploration”.
The next flight to the Red Planet will depart at 09:31 GMT (10:31 CET) on 14 March from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Representatives of the media are invited by ESA to follow the event live from ESA’s Operations Centre (ESOC) in Darmstadt, Germany. Can’t make it in person? Design & Data will be supporting ESA with the livestream.
The “Once Upon A Time …” cartoons, produced in collaboration between the European Space Agency and Design & Data GmbH for the Rosetta and Philae outreach campaign, have been awarded the “New Media (Non-interactive)” prize at the EuroPAWS Science TV & New Media Festival.
