Following the great success of the PhiWeek Bootcamp, we are pleased to showcase the highlights of the event through a new video and a summary report. 38 participants from over 10 countries showed the high international resonance. For many participants, this cultural diversity contributed to the success of the event and to the development of innovative and groundbreaking business ideas.
On the occasion of the ESA Φ-week, Design & Data GmbH is organising a Bootcamp on behalf of the European Space Agency (ESA) for aspiring entrepreneurs supporting the development of innovative business ideas using Earth Observation (EO) from space to address some of the information needs of the food and energy sectors.
From 11 to 13 November 2018, the European Space Agency (ESA) invites you to Frascati (Rome), Italy for the 1st Φ-Week Bootcamp. Organised by Design & Data for ESA, the aim is to generate new space startups using earth observation (EO) data linking to the food and energy sectors.
The first INNOspace Weekend was a great success. 65 participants attended from over 17 countries and a mix of backgrounds. For many, this cultural and interdisciplinary diversity contributed to the success of the event and to the development of many innovative and groundbreaking business ideas.
For the first time, in a production for ESA, we are sharing a video under a Creative Commons licence. In particular we are releasing it under the so-called “NoDerivatives” version of the licence, ported for use by intergovernmental organisations (IGOs) including ESA, referred to in short as CC BY-ND 3.0 IGO.
Since we launched the concept of ‘Spaceoneers’ we have been interacting with the new space community, to find out how startup founders got started, what motivates them and what trends and technologies they think will affect their business models in the near future. After a successful test phase, we are pleased to reveal the new design of our site.
