On the occasion of the ESA Φ-week, Design & Data GmbH is organising a Bootcamp on behalf of the European Space Agency (ESA) for aspiring entrepreneurs supporting the development of innovative business ideas using Earth Observation (EO) from space to address some of the information needs of the food and energy sectors.
Design & Data produced a number of informative videos to showcase the Copernicus services implemented by ECMWF at the European State of the Climate event in April. The aim was to inform the challenges of climate change and the vital role that Copernicus data play in mitigating and adapting to the effects of our warming planet. The event attracted a diverse audience ranging from MEPs to industry, policymakers, scientists and media.
From 11 to 13 November 2018, the European Space Agency (ESA) invites you to Frascati (Rome), Italy for the 1st Φ-Week Bootcamp. Organised by Design & Data for ESA, the aim is to generate new space startups using earth observation (EO) data linking to the food and energy sectors.
During April 2018, Copernicus and its services implemented by ECMWF were hosted at a high-level event at the European Parliament in Brussels. Design & Data worked with Copernicus ECMWF in the organisation of the event and to develop a number of media-related materials to communicate the impact and benefits for service users and European citizens.
Following the great success of the first INNOspace Weekend, we are pleased to show the highlights through a new video about the startup event and a summary report. The high-energy and dynamic event provided an international mix of participants with the tools they needed to initiate their own startup idea.
The first INNOspace Weekend was a great success. 65 participants attended from over 17 countries and a mix of backgrounds. For many, this cultural and interdisciplinary diversity contributed to the success of the event and to the development of many innovative and groundbreaking business ideas.
The first INNOspace Weekend will be held this year and will be take place from 15-17 September 2017 in Cologne. Organised by Design & Data GmbH on behalf of DLR, the aim is to unite non-space sectors to the space sector and generate new upstream or downstream space startups.
Bremen Invest (Wirtschaftsförderung Bremen, WFB) is offering the opportunity to visit “new space” companies in Silicon Valley and Los Angeles. The tour is aimed primarily at CEOs, founders and aspiring entrepreneurs from the aerospace industry in Bremen.
StartupWeekend Space will be holding a Workshop and Fireside Chat panel this Friday, 18thSeptember. It will be an opportunity for the remaining teams that participated in StartupWeekend Space: Bremen in April to share specific challenges they have faced so far in launching their businesses.
