Developing resources for entrepreneurs in the Point.IOT programme

Point.IOT is a programme designed for ambitious entrepreneurs to tackle relevant industry challenges using the combined power of IoT and Galileo satellite technologies. Design & Data are working as a consortium partner to develop a MOOC for entrepreneurs.

This project has received funding from the European GNSS Agency under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 870283. The Point.IoT Consortium comprises Verhaert, SpaceTec Partners, TechTour, cesah, Orange and Load Digital, together with Design & Data GmbH.

For our part, we are developing publicly available resources through the form of a MOOC (massive open online course). The Point.MOOC will comprise of eight business sessions and six technical sessions, empowering IoT entrepreneurs with the tools they need to bring their innovative ideas to life.

In addition, we have been promoting the competition through our ‘new space’ platform Spaceoneers. Targeted at the ‘new generation of space pioneers’, we have helped to promote the programme on all Spaceoneers social media channels. Among others, we created an infographic on ‘What is IOT?’ published on the site, as well as an adapted version posted to our Instagram channel. We complemented the infographic with a write-up to help explain the competition and how it is enabling innovative ideas in IOT and Galileo satellite technologies.
