Motion Graphic Designer (f/m/d)

Job Summary

Design & Data is delivering a variety of communication services for its customers.

In the framework of these services we are looking for a talented freelancer to cover services for our projects in the field of Motion Graphic Design.

The freelancer should be based in the area of Cologne to be able to enhance our team on site in the Cologne office.

The planning and implementation of advertising strategies and the production of creative content, such as film & video, animation, websites, multi-day events, PR write-ups and trade-fair stands is not only our core business but also our passion. Space agencies and institutes, astronomical organisations and industry customers trust in our expertise.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Independent designing of animated/fictional graphic sequences for our clients;
• Compositing digital elements with live action footage.
• General video editing by using common programs such as Da Vinci, Final Cut, Adobe, After Effects etc.;
• Content related illustrations for various projects;
• Engaging and cooperating with other internal and external project partners and clients.

Your profile

• 3+ years of relevant industry experience and a technical skill set of Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, Compositing, ideally supported by a degree within your field;
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (primarily After Effects, Premiere and Photoshop) and related plugins;
• A strong grasp of animation techniques and principles, and knowledge how to apply them cross-media;
• Experience in confidently creating storyboards and animatics;
• Illustration skills alongside a talent for creative conception;
• Independent working style;
• Strong communication and organizational skills;
• Able to work as a reliable member of a dedicated team in an international environment;
• Goal-oriented and structured thinking;
• Very good English knowledge is mandatory;
• Experience in 3D animation would be an advantage,
• Some basic experience with space topics and/or science would be an advantage.
