Based on our work on the ESA cartoon series “The Adventures of Rosetta & Philae”, we are happy to announce the first full feature full-dome movie that we have produced can now be watched in planetaria around the world.
Join Rosetta and her lander Philae on a wonderful journey to the comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko. They travelled for more than ten years and experienced lots of exciting things. Little Philae eventually managed to land on the comet and explore it more closely. Come along on the adventure and find out what secrets Philae and Rosetta were able to unveil in this new planetarium show.
Production was initiated by the Verkehrshaus der Schweiz (Museum of Transport Planetarium) and brought to full dome with the support of the Swiss Space Office. The project involves 18 other planetaria (Berlin, Baikonur, Bochum, Chemnitz, ESO Supernova Garching, Kiel, Klagenfurt, Münster, Nuremberg, Prague, Shanghai, Singapore, Vienna and others) from seven countries. The aim of the project is to inspire the young generation to explore the universe.
The show is produced as a 4K production (4096x4096px, ImageSequenz, 30FPS and 60FPS, 5.1 Audio) as well as 2K (2048x2048px,H264 MP4, 30FPS, Stereo Audio). It has a total length of 26 minutes 30 seconds. With the Audio 5.1 Surround Mix, the speaker is exclusively on the centre channel. It can be performed in German, English, French, Spanish and Italian with the corresponding soundtracks enclosed. All 5.1 channels are delivered as separate .wav files. A full-dome and a Full HD flat trailer are part of the package.
Specially prepared for 360-degree projections, the production will subsequently be distributed worldwide by Design & Data. Interested planetaria can contact us for the terms and conditions of licensing.
