After the great success of the ESA Rosetta cartoons, Design & Data are happy to be working on a new instalment of cartoons for BepiColombo – a joint mission between ESA and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) – under ESA leadership.
Launching later this year, BepiColombo will explore the smallest terrestrial planet in our inner Solar System in Europe’s first mission to Mercury. It will arrive in late 2025 where it will provide the best understanding of the planet to date.
Follow the adventures of BepiColombo with:
- “Bepi” – the Mercury Planetary Orbiter (MPO) who will orbit Mercury close up and investigate its properties
- “MMO” – JAXA’s Mercury Magnetospheric Orbiter who will orbit Mercury and investigate its environment.
- “MTM” – ESA’s Mercury Transfer Module who will carry Bepi and MMO to Mercury.
Each of the characters also have their own Twitter accounts @ESA_Bepi @JAXA_MMO and @ESA_MTM so you can follow their journey to Mercury!
