Illustrating an aspiring future of energy

The EU aims to be climate-neutral by 2050, in line with the European Green Deal and the EU’s commitment to the Paris Agreement. It is vital that energy providers and policy makers have the climate information they need to make informed choices on the future of energy. CEER developed its 2030 Vision for Energy Consumers to ensure no one is left behind in the energy transition. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CEER’s annual Customer Conference was unable to take place in person. Instead, Design & Data was approached to develop a full virtual conference, from creating event graphics to running the event platform and post-event feedback.

Idea, solution

Design & Data used the GoToWebinar online meeting platform to conduct the virtual event, which enabled presenters and users to interact in real time, similar to how they could interact at an in-person event. In designing the event graphics, the Design & Data creative team strived to capture the spirit of the event, such as the lightbulb encompassing a green hemisphere with renewable technologies to signify the problem-solving and creative attitude needed for a sustainable future. It was very important for CEER to gauge relevant insights from the participants of the conference. So, Design & Data developed a post-event form to ensure customer rights are promoted and protected whilst CEER implements its vision.

The virtual event of the 2020 CEER Customer Conference successfully ran online on Tuesday 20 October. It posed and answered key questions about energy transition, such as ‘what does the future of energy look like?’, or ‘how will the world meet its future energy needs while protecting the needs of its users?’ Learn more from the replay of the CEER Customer Conference – Let’s Aspire!
